CALENDAR OF EVENTS

The Western Michigan Chapter of ACG hosts regular breakfast meetings on growth-related topics throughout the year. Breakfast meetings are typically held at the University Club of Grand Rapids on the third Wednesday of the month, with continental breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m. and an hour long presentation at 8 a.m. sharp. Working with Private Equity Groups

Mr. Richard Bolton, a Member of Dickinson Wright, PLLC, will lead a blue chip panel of Private Equity Group (PEG) representatives in a discussion of how to make sure you perform the proper due diligence in determining whether it’s time to consider a PEG partner and in selecting a PEG partner that fits your needs.
 
The panelists – Steven Beckett of Peninsula Capital Partners, Mark Carroll of Superior Capital Partners, Salam Chaudhary of Wind Point Partners, and Peter Mogk of Huron Capital Partners --  will discuss the right “fit” with a PEG partner from many perspectives.  The panelists will provide insight on topics such as: (i) the industry or sector specialization of the PEG; (ii) its historical performance; (iii) the stability, continuity and level of involvement of the PEG’s management (from pre-close decision-making to post-close operating management of portfolio companies); (iv) reputation in the marketplace; and (v) the kinds of incentive equity or other arrangements which executives might expect.
